Is your elf here? Do you have an elf in the classroom? Will you be getting one this weekend? I hope your answer is YES YES YES. Because you need one {affiliate link}. Monday, she arrived in a cold box straight from the North Pole {aka my freezer}.
We voted for a name after we read a note from Santa telling us we’d better name her quick! Here are some fun graphing activities you can do with your kids while voting on names!
{sometimes I wonder where they get these names, maybe I swayed the vote, but they don’t know, they had their eyes closed…}
I’m actually SUPER surprised the name Elsa wasn’t on the list #firstgradefrozenaddicts.
She got right to her usual antics by making us fall in love with her!
Here are some things Elfie did last year, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year!
Elfie decided to use my mini paper cutter {since it was just her size} to make snowflakes and Christmas lights. She made us write adjectives {since we are studying adjectives} on them and then hung them up for us!
{oh did you see that bandaid?? well, she got touched & she bandaged herself and stayed high above everyone for the day, threatening to leave if we did it again}
She sure does LOVE to decorate! Stockings for every student! AND glistening lights for the library!
My kids were SO curious about her and wanted to ask her a MILLION questions, so we wrote them down and hoped she would answer…{did you know she’s a young elf at the ripe age of 682?? the kids flipped over that one}
She took the time to remind us “she’s always watching us” and tried to give my kiddos extra googly eyes!
Well, she is an elf, so we don’t think she understands everything we do around here. This morning we found her in our tidy tubs taking a bath. We figured, she must of thought it was a place to get cleaned up!
Elfie helped me break the bank with all her treats! Elf pets {yes, you need one-affiliate link} that the kids can actually touch, elf band aids because well kids need band aids for EVERYTHING, & an elf puzzle for those rainy day recesses.
She enjoyed her shenanigans with her stuffed animal friends. Feasting or fighting? You can decide!
