It’s above my door, space saver!
Isn’t it THE cutest??
ANYWAYS.
Let’s take a quick look at how we celebrate birthdays in my classroom!
The day before a students’ birthday {yes I have to think ahead A LITTLE, but my board helps ;)}, I send home a little note {from The Brown Bag Teacher}.
The students gets to bring in their favorite picture book that we read at the end of the day!
To start the day, they get this awesome set of Birthday Supplies!
Inside you’ll find:
-a fresh box of crayons {for the student to keep as a present}
-markers
-birthday glasses {to wear ALL day, unless they get too distracted…}
-a sharpened sparkly pencil {to keep as a present}
-a small sheet of sparkly happy face stickers {to keep as a present}
-a colored highlighter to use during phonics and grammar {lucky them, they don’t have to use plain yellow}
Once the day is over, I put a new set of crayons, a new sparkly pencils, a new sheet of happy face stickers in the supply box and I’m ready for the next birthday 🙂
Oh ya, of course they get a birthday crown to wear all day too!
I just make it out of candle designed border. Easy peasy.
This post is entirely inspired by Catherine at The Brown Bag Teacher {because she’s awesome and I don’t know how she does it}.
