We still have 4 days left. FOUR DAYS! I sure wish we didn’t have to take it all the way to a Friday.. but we will survive!
Some of you lucky ducks are already out!
For those of you who aren’t yet, just enjoy the blog hop 😉
I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to bring you a Summer Blog Hop! Ms. Britney from Tailor-Made Teaching has been a brilliant hostess!
…now on the goods…
Do you give your students summer homework? I usually give a small review packet like this one by the wonderfully talented Amy Lemons from Step into Second Grade. But for the most part, I just hope the parents take my suggestions on which workbooks to use and which skills to review.
This year, I did some research {aka asked all my instagram buddies} and I complied a list of apps & websites my students could use over the summer to avoid that “summer slide”. It even includes a couple of facts about how much ground students lose in reading and math over the course of summer break {when I told my kids they lose about 3 months of math skills if they don’t practice over the summer, they were all up in arms saying “oh I’ll be practicing…” hehe I just hope it’s true}.
It’s yours to use if you’d like.

I agree with Sarah! This would have been awesome to add to my summer pack! I will be sure to share it with parents at the beginning of the year. Thank you so much! I'm one of the lucky ones who is out- but I spent it moving into my new classroom Marissa
