Picture Book Travels: The Two Giants, Ireland
I love picture books! Have you ever met a teacher who said otherwise?
I’m linking up with Courtney from Ramona Recommends for her Picture Book Travel Tuesday {a day late…}!
I have a list so long I want to tell you all about, but I’ll start with one near and dear to my heart.
Around this time 4 years ago, I was blessed with the adventure of a lifetime! My brother and some of my best friends packed up for a month and headed to Europe.
The original intent was to visit my “Mother Land”, Ireland. Although we ran around to so many places, I left a piece of my heart there.
One of my favorite places was Giant’s Causeway. Natural hexagon columns in Northern Ireland.
Scientists say these columns were formed by hot liquid rock that bubbled through the surface, but the Irish have a different tale.

“The Two Giants” is a tale of two Giants, one Irish and one Scottish. It tells the story of how these two giants were trying to prove who was a bigger, better giant. Although the Scottish Giant was larger, the Irish Giant was more clever, which leads for a fun story of how this “Giant’s Causeway” was built!
I love all the pictures, the Irish terms, and the clever ending 🙂
Thanks for joining me this week & I’ll be linking up again next week!
