Have you heard of Oriental Trading? I sure hope so! It’s such a fun place to get all the little decor your heart desires. Last year I bought some plastic Hawaiian leis from Oriental Trading for our “Mele Kalikimaka” song for our Christmas program and BOY did those little firsties look cute! Well, Oriental Trading has expanded their horizons to put joy in our little teacher hearts. They’ve had teaching related items for some time now, but this…this is a whole new ball game!
THE WISH LIST! Yes, I said it. That means you can put teaching items you’ll need throughout the school year onto your wish list and share it with your classroom parents! I’m sure parents would LOVE to donate more than tissues and hand sanitizer…am I right??
Let me show you some of the items I got from my Wish List this summer. They really do have GREAT stuff for teachers!
That’s right. I adore magnetic letters because I recently discovered The Elementary Journey‘s Instagram post about her guided reading boxes and all of a sudden I desperately needed some magnetic letters. Here’s a little video of how these boxes would work.
Jumbo foam dice are my FAVORITE for all our dice games, like Roll & Read Fluency and Roll Math Fact Fluency. First because they are quiet. Second because they are fun. Third because they are BIG.
I almost fell out when I saw these number recognition dice. They have TALLY MARKS on them! If I just start using these at the beginning of the year, I will cut out half my work when it comes to making 5 or more tally marks I’m sure.
These took me back to my own elementary days. I thought these would be the PERFECT addition to our prize box. I told my Vice-Pricipal, she may be confiscating a lot of these this year… (new rule: no slapping someone else with a slap bracelet).
Okay okay, we all know about the amazing dry-erase sleeves, but I thought these were genius. They open from the SIDE. So you can put them onto pages of your books for close reads and such!
I don’t think personalized pencils can be wish listed, but I know if they are predesigned they can be! I just couldn’t pass up an opportunity for a golden pencil with “We <3 First Grade” on it!
The Wish List is SUPER simple to do. Here’s a quick video that shows you how to find items, get them on your wish list, and share them with your families.
I hope you can set up your Wish List soon and send it out to your parents! I plan to have my ready for Back to School Night in mid-September. If you’re looking for good deals through Oriental Trading, here’s their coupon page!
*Note: I was given these items from Oriental Trading Company in exchange for a review, the review however is of my own opinion.
