Week 2 and things are getting crazy with our little elf!
My kids are loving Alexis the elf. I’ve even inspired 2 other teachers to join the fun! & parents keep asking what this “troll” business is… ha
I consider it all a success! Alexis didn’t have to leave the classroom last week, so hopefully this week she won’t either.
Take a look at our week:
On Monday Alexis reminded us to be “sweet” and took a card from the “Bucket Filler” jar that said “only kind words will come out of my mouth today”. She left us some free slurpee coupons to anyone who could be as “sweet at me today”. The kids ate it up 🙂
Tuesday, since we had a fantastic Monday, Alexis left us some AWESOME {target dollar section} winter erasers. It made us smile {and made the teacher happy because no one was fighting over the ONE pencil with the eraser left…}!
But sadly, Alexis’ day was not as wonderful as ours. She started the day by writing all over our rules! She put herself on red because she knew she was being a bad example.
Wednesday, Alexis and Zoe ended up in the wrong rooms! {I switched with a 1st grade teacher & the kids loved it}
Eventually they came back, but they had a great time visiting a different grade and learning new things!
On Thursday we had a district walk-through. I convinced the kids to be good by Alexis making the suggestion 😉 We won our {already planned} holiday party for this Friday! yippee!
Then Alexis reminded us to keep smart and choose to read chapter books 🙂
Friday, Ms. Cullen was away. Alexis reminded the kids to be great for the substitute!
Apparently they were because when we showed up today, she had pencils for everyone!
This week Alexis really wants to:
-take a bubble bath
-play with the bandaids {so sticky}
-maybe even party a little on Ms. Cullen’s computer/copier {selfies anyone??}
Stay tuned to find out what Alexis will do next!
