I love to document my students’ year in pictures (and I know the parents appreciate it too). For most holidays/events I like to throw up a background or photo booth and snap a picture of my little ones. Sometimes I just post them on ClassDojo for parents to see, other times we print them for cards or presents. We love doing our classroom photo booth all year round.
One of my tricks for making this easy on myself is leaving a white piece (or any color) of butch paper up year round. Or if I don’t have a safe spot in my classroom (there’s no safe place from sticky fingers…), I just keep the right size paper rolled up and pull it out for the wall anytime I need a quick picture. For each different picture I want, I just change the decor. I find most of my cute banners at Target or WalMart ($1-$5 dollars each). I can use them year after year and always have a different background!
Here are a collection of ideas for photo booths for any time of the year!
First Day of School
It may not look like much, but I LOVE doing first day pictures like this. They turn out super cute and parents love seeing the growth between this beginning and end of the year!
Themed Days
Love how Fancy Free in Fourth used Oriental Trading props for her end of the year party.
This is just too cute! Learning with Mrs Fresh on insta shared this photo booth idea for Cinco de Mayo!
Mother’s/Father’s/Grandparents’ Day Gifts
Sandy from Soaring made the cutest photo booth for Mother’s Day.
Miss Mini Mills on insta showed off her Mother’s Day photo booth too!
I used the free printable from Teach Create Motivate and a cheap decor streamer from WalMart to make this sweet Mother’s Day photo booth.
…ditto on the Father’s Day printable (the decor is from Target this time though).
Family Nights at School
If you haven’t seen this photo booth yet, then go check it out HERE. Ashley from Teach Create Motivate, created her own Polaroid-type photo booth with props perfect for any family night!
For Open House (a night at the end of the year where families come into the classroom and we show off all our hard work) I love putting up a family photo booth with props! The families have so much fun dressing up.
For the end of the year, I find a cute background around the school to take photos. We stretch these out BIG TIME to celebrate EACH student for one day as a countdown to the end of the year! Read more about that here!
