World Travels {aka Cultural Diversity Day}

We had Cultural Diversity Day at school a few weeks ago! It was so much fun! We each got to deck out our classrooms in the country/culture of our choice. We had everything from South Korea to Australia to Zambia! I loved that we all got to teach about our particular cultures. The kids enjoyed learning new things. I could tell it sparked a passion for travel in all my little kiddies!
My classroom was decked out for IRELAND {& lucky for me, it was the week after St. Patty’s Day}.
We made construction paper Irish flags using a white piece of construction paper, a strip of green, and a strip of orange. So very simple! We hung them everywhere & they took seconds to make!
I made these passports {get them from my TpT store HERE or click the picture} and printed it on colored card stock, cut some lined paper up, and put it all together! I had the kids write down their favorite fact(s) from each classroom/country they visited. They loved it! Next year I’ll try to get the whole school on board to have a little stamp to put in the passport when the kids visit their country.
Here we are reppin’ Ireland in our Irish colors!
{don’t mind the child eating his sweater..}
We even tried some Irish Soda Bread & Dublin cheese!
I also have a powerpoint {get it here} with great pictures and facts.
Share your culture with your kids & ENJOY!
