I’ve got a quick tip for you all during this month’s “You Oughta Know” hosted by Jasmine over at Buzzing with Mrs. McClain!
Do you ever have several small pieces of things to laminate? You cut them up and they slide all over and get overlapped? Some people just throw the whole page through and cut the pieces up, but I don’t like that. The laminate tends to peel when it’s not sealed around every edge.
Well, I saw this last summer and it chanced my life forever!
Cut the pieces before you laminate.
Put a tiny smudge of glue on the back with a glue stick.
Stick the pieces onto the lamination sheet.
BAM! All your tiny pieces are individually wrapped and not sliding around the laminator getting overlapped 😉

So simple, but so genius! I tend to try to balance the laminator sheet with all the cut up pieces as I feed it through. Sometimes it works, other time not so well. I'll definitely be trying this!

Smart idea! 🙂 Thanks for sharing! I've got a huge pile of stuff to laminate, so when I find the time I will try this trick out.

Jen,
I was actually thinking about this the other day and thinking, "How do I stop them from sliding?" You would think that I would automatically know to use glue, being a teacher! 🙂 What a genius idea. You rock!!!

It works, it work! I often have my 10-year old help me laminate, but more than once the laminating sheet is halfway through and little pieces fall out; ugh! Thanks for the great tip!!

I saw this a while back too, but I seriously love this tip! Thank so much for reminding me of its awesomeness!
