Happy Friday!
It’s been too long since I’ve linked up with Kacey for Five for Friday. So long that she went on vacation, so I can’t link up with here. Fail. But I will post anyway…
Is your elf here? Do you have one? Will you be getting one this weekend? I hope your answer is YES YES YES.
Because you need one.
Monday, she arrived in a cold box straight from the North Pole {aka my freezer}.
We voted for a name after we read a note from Santa telling us we’d better name her quick!
{sometimes I wonder where they get these names, maybe I swayed the vote, but they don’t know, they had their eyes closed ;)}
I’m actually SUPER surprised the name Elsa wasn’t on the list #firstgradefrozenaddicts.
Elfie decided to use my mini paper cutter {since it was just her size} to make snowflakes and Christmas lights. She made us write adjectives {since we are studying adjectives} on them and then hung them up for us!
{oh did you see that bandaid?? well, she got touched & she bandaged herself and stayed high above everyone for the day, threatening to leave if we did it again}
My kids were SO curious about her and wanted to ask her a MILLION questions, so we wrote them down and hoped she would answer…{did you know she’s a young elf at the ripe age of 682?? the kids flipped over that one}
She took the time to remind us “she’s always watching us” and tried to give my kiddos extra googly eyes!
Well, she is an elf, so we don’t think she understands everything we do around here. This morning we found her in our tidy tubs taking a bath. We figured, she must of thought it was a place to get cleaned up!
This week has been the first big rain we So Cal-ers have had in a year it seems like. My principal has provided us hot chocolate & cider everyday of December so far! I love my new school!
The hubs and I took a mid-week trip to the local college {Long Beach State} to watch a men’s basketball game. He loves basketball, but we were also out supporting a local preschool that fights to end homelessness {PreciousLamb}. Neither of us actually went to CSULB, but we enjoyed the game anyway!
Okay this didn’t happen this week, but it was too fun NOT to put in my Five for Friday. Last week I help out my good friend Hannah from Hannah’s Bananas, dip her famous frozen bananas at one of her holiday events. Oh my goodness, she’s an all star! We dipped over 1,000 bananas on site. It was tons of fun! She’s a local here in So. Cal, so if you ever need a unique treat, give her a shout!
That’s all for me! I’ve got a busy weekend {or maybe just a busy month} of holiday gatherings, birthday parties, and Galaxy finals 😉
